English Idioms Lesson
left arrow right arrow

Twenty-five English idioms were written down on small strips of paper, cut in half, and mixed up in a bag. Students were asked to re-assemble as many idioms as they could and write them on the chalkboard. This is part of what they came up with. Can you figure out what the idioms should be? (Note: This is not intended to belittle the student's English. If it has any redeeming value, it sheds light on the difficulty of aquiring a second language.) This photo was taken on June 9, 2005.
