The New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman remarked on a recent installment of "The Wall Street Journal Review" that he doesn't tell his daughters what his parents told him, "Eat your supper. Somebody in China wants your food." Instead he tells them, "Do your homework. Somebody in China wants your job." I don't know why pundits on TV always have to talk to us like they're talking to their children, but he may be right. And these students might be just the students who want your job.
