William and his mother were on their way back to Kashgar for a family reunion of sorts. William has been attending school and working in Tianjin. His mother has been living in Xi'an. They helped me upgrade my ticket to a sleeper on the 23 hour train ride from Urumqi to Kashgar. This photo was taken on August 22, 2005. |
